January Meeting Announcement
East Tennessee Chapter of ASHRAE

For our January meeting, our own Tom Werkema will be giving us a presentation titled " Climate Change, an Update."
Tom Werkema graduated from the University of Michigan in 1971 with a BS in Chemical Engineering and in 1975 from Seidman Graduate School, a division of Grand Valley State University, with an MBA.  Mr. Werkema worked in the chemical industry for a variety of companies, building chemical plants, running them as plant manager, and in 1987, became Business Manager for the Industrial Chemical Division of Pennwalt, a $200 million business.  In 1993, he became Vice President of Government Activities for Paris based ATOFINA, the successor to Pennwalt, which was spun off in 2006 and renamed Arkema Inc.  In 2012, he retired from full time work and served as a fulltime volunteer ASHRAE Vice President and Technology Council Chair (2013-14), one of the three ASHRAE Councils.  ASHRAE writes building standards globally and currently has 56,000 members
 The meeting will be held at Rothchild's Catering.  Come as early as 11:30 for social time, lunch will be served at 11:50, and our program will begin around noon.
